The next edition of the Down Under Feminists Carnival is planned for 5 January, 2012 and will be hosted by Mary at Hoyden About Town. Submissions can be made to mary-carnival [at] puzzling [dot] org, as the blogcarnival submissions form is still not working. See Mary’s call for submissions; she would prefer if you used Pinboard or Delicious to submit if possible.
Submissions must be of posts of feminist interest by writers from Australia and New Zealand that were published in December. Submissions are due on 2 January at the latest, but it’ll be easier on Mary if you submit sooner rather than later. Don’t forget to spread the word among your networks! Visit the DUFC homepage for more information.

Is the submission date meant to be 2 January? 2 December is long gone…
On an unrelated note, did you watch the Doctor Who last night?
*sigh* Silly me. I did something I hadn’t done before with the DUFC reminders template and it did not work out for me. Fixed.
I did! I enjoyed it rather a lot more than I enjoyed most of the 2011 series. :)
*grins*
I really loved the 2011 series – all the timey-wimey just worked for me, and I love River to bits so all that was lovely. I was rather annoyed at last night’s quite blatant motherhood = the (only) source of strength for women thing, but overall I enjoyed the episode. (I suppose he tried?) I do wish that the balance between plot and emotional-ness had been a bit better though, I felt the latter dominated at the expense of the other.
(Sorry, I don’t know if you mind your comments being taken over by DW discussion. I was interested in seeing what you thought about the whole women-strength thing. I’ll take this somewhere else if you want.)
(You can take it to email if you like!)
