In blue on a white background, the DUFC logo: in a square with rounded corners, there is the "female symbol" with the Southern Cross inside, above which it says 'Down Under' and below 'Feminists Carnival'.

This is your regular reminder to submit to DUFC. The next edition of the Down Under Feminists Carnival is planned for 5 November, 2011 and will be hosted by Pen at Pondering Postfeminism. Submissions to drpen [dot] robinson [at] gmail [dot] com for those who cannot access the blogcarnival submissions form.

Submissions must be of posts of feminist interest by writers from Australia and New Zealand that were published in October. Submissions are due on 2 November at the latest, but it’ll be easier on Pen if you submit sooner rather than later. Don’t forget to spread the word among your networks!

See Pen’s call for submissions.

And now for an extra special note from Chally…

I’m considering, from next month, limiting the number of blog posts allowed per blogger in a given carnival edition to two or three. We’ve been getting a lot of submissions over the last few months, which is really great. But I fear that people are seeing a big wall of text and aren’t getting through the carnivals, and, mostly, I’d like there to be a decent chance of newer and less prolific or read bloggers to be read, too. Also, putting together the carnivals is getting to be quite a lot of work! Let me know what you think, please, because it’s your carnival, Aussies and New Zealanders!

Please keep submitting and submit diversely! I know there’s more on trans, race, and disability issues out there.
