This is your regular reminder that the next edition of the Down Under Feminists Carnival is planned for 5 July, 2012 and will be hosted by Jo at A life unexamined. Submissions to jo.alifeunexamined [at] gmail [dot] com for those who can’t access the blogcarnival submissions form.

Submissions must be of posts of feminist interest by writers from Australia and New Zealand that were published in June. Submissions are due on 2 July at the latest, but it’ll be easier on the lovely Jo if you submit sooner rather than later. So submit early and often, please, and spread the word!

From Jo’s announcement post, she has an optional theme for this carnival:

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about gender and gender essentialism, especially around what the word “woman” really means, especially in feminism. So if you have some thoughts on the topic, however broadly related, feel free to write something up and submit it!

I’m just about to send a bunch of submissions off to Jo, and I’m looking to blogs I don’t generally see getting a lot of linkage. Perhaps you can perform a similar favour for some favourite bloggers of yours.
